August is...
immunization information month
At Coombs Veterinary Hospital we believe that vaccinations are important to keep your animal happy and healthy, as well as to protect your human family, and others in the community. We like to find a balance between appropriate coverage and over-vaccination. As such, we recommend certain "Core" vaccines that should be continued in all animals, and offer others as optional choices based on your pet's life style and risk factors. Your veterinarian will discuss these risk factors with you during an Annual Health Examination to determine which vaccines are appropriate for your pet.
All vaccine schedules should be determined on an individual basis in consultation with your Veterinarian.
We also believe in splitting our vaccines to reduce the overall load on your pet's immune system, and reduce vaccine reactions.
